Peptide therapy at America First Pharmacies covers a range of compounded peptides. Sermorelin and bremelanotide, also known as PT-141, have the longest track record, and we prepare a number of others as well. We prepare customized medications when your prescriber determines a commercially available product is not right for you, for example a strength that is not manufactured or a form that is easier for you to use.

Everything starts with a prescription. We do not prescribe. Your prescriber evaluates your health and decides whether a compounded peptide makes sense for you. We then prepare it to the exact strength and form they specify, and our pharmacist walks you through storage, handling, and how to take it correctly.

We prepare only peptides that are eligible for compounding under current FDA guidance, and we review that list as guidance changes. To find out which compounded peptides we currently prepare and whether one fits your prescriber's plan, call the pharmacy and ask our pharmacist.

About Sermorelin

Sermorelin has a longer track record than most peptides. It was once an FDA-approved prescription medication sold under the brand name Geref, and the manufacturer later discontinued it for business reasons, not because of safety concerns. Today, sermorelin is available through compounding pharmacies like America First Pharmacies when a prescriber writes a prescription for it. The compounded sermorelin we prepare is made for an individual patient and is not an FDA-approved product.

About Bremelanotide (PT-141)

Bremelanotide, often called PT-141, is the active ingredient in an FDA-approved medication for premenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder, a diagnosed condition involving low sexual desire that causes distress. When America First Pharmacies compounds bremelanotide, we prepare a customized version for an individual prescription. The compounded form is not the FDA-approved product, and it is not approved for men or for any other use. Whether it is appropriate for you is a decision for your prescriber.

Safety and What to Discuss With Your Prescriber

Peptide therapy is prescription only. Before starting, talk with your prescriber about your full health history, your current medications, and what you hope to address. Bring questions about dosing, possible side effects, and how long therapy might run. Peptide availability changes as FDA guidance evolves, ask our pharmacist about what is currently available. Our pharmacist is glad to talk any of this through with you or your prescriber before a prescription is written.
